Through Jekyll being portrayed on his knees, there is a sense that the character is undergoing shock and somewhat struggling with the transformation through holding tightly around his arms (or Jekyll-self), while the Hyde illustration shows a sense of release and freedom for the individual. The choice of diction including “Oops” and “Again” demonstrate a continuous cycle of behavior of the darker or Hyde-like subconscious taking over one’s actions in an unstoppable, matter-of-fact manner. Hyde in correlation with the reference to Britney Spears’ 90’s hit song. For this meme, I incorporated Justin Rodrigues’ artwork of the transformation of Dr.
